Open Events 

We always welcome families to visit us here at our Fir Cones Nursery. Please contact the school to arrange a tour at any time. We also hold a series of special open events throughout the year which will give you further opportunities to come and see our wonderful setting and meet the staff. 

Reception Taster Sessions January and February 2026 - flexible booking 

Are you considering Reception 2026? If so we’d love to welcome you to The Firs!

Please book an appointment in January or February to enjoy a personalised tour of the school while your child takes part in a fun Reception taster session.

With flexible dates to suit your family, this is the perfect chance to see everything The Firs has to offer.

Easter Eggstravaganza - Saturday 28th March - Save the Date

Come along to this free community event open to all for children aged 0-8. The event runs from 10am to 12:30pm and children can enjoy fun Easter themed activities run by our staff. 

Children aged 0-3 - need to be accompanied by parents and can enjoy a series of fun activities in our Fir Cones Nursery and Firs Forest- including a special story time music session 

Children aged 3-8 - can be left in the hands of our experienced staff to participate in fun games, craft, sport and for our older children, Minecraft. 

An onsite cafe is available throughout the event should parents wish to stay nearby but you are also welcome to leave your children in our capable hands.
